Old Flame is a song from uon's EP evoL, release date June 19th.
The video was made at BLÆNK MINDS intense club video workshop in Berlin in Fall '17, funded by Berlin Music Commission
Our (Fiete Rohdes and Michael Kandels) first audio-visual output under our new moniker YONA.
The footage was produced by BLÆNK MINDS as part of a club video workshop and edited by us on a far too tiny notebook.
The video was already screened in OHM and in Hering Gallery Space on Potsdamer Straße thanks to Thea & Kristian.
There are new tracks to come in 2018!
Until then have fun with this first one.
It was THE off location during Web Summit 2017 in Lisboa. Art installations, visuals, rooftop bar and house party. Well selected artists and a group of friends from Berlin & Lisboa coming together to compose 5 nights to remember.
One of our highlight releases on Poker Flat in 2012 truly was the new output from label boss Steve Bug, who teamed up with German producer and long time friend Langenberg for the Chord Cluster EP. Now their track The Tease was expanded to a visual dimension. The Berlin-based collective Blaenk Minds works for a few years now on adding a visual experience to the process of listening to music and dancing in the club. Within the scope of a Workshop in this summer, they crafted the music video for Steve Bug and Langenberg. It's about materiality, the play with forms and movement and the influence of colors. All objects used are hand crafted from designer Stefanie Hering.
Smash TV + Blaenk Minds + Esmod Clubvideo
This is the second collaboration between Blaenk Minds and Smash TV. Only this time we all turned our head towards the creative field of fashion, bringing in the Esmod Fashion Design School Berlin. A selection of students where allowed to wrap their years work around Models and have them perform in front of the camera. A great concept that delivered great Footage. But then we had to admit that the visual focus of this collaboration became very fashion-centered so we had to tone it down a bit again. Addeing a visual and flashy layer brought it back to the club again, where it now works amazingly.
Blaenk Minds is a DJ Duo producing a clubvideo for every track they play: At night they are mixing these Audio-Video Tracks at the club. Its not a music video. Clubvideos are projected in a club through projectors or LED panels while the music shoots through the speakers. They are visually strong, darker, flashy and the picture sits perfectly on the beat. All this is important in order to support and enhance the atmosphere of the club. Another important cornerstone of clubvideos are creative collaborations.
Check out the ARTICLE explaining how the clubvideo came about
This is a result of a Blaenk Minds Clubvideo Workshop at KMITL Bangkok, supported by Goethe Institute
BLAENK NIGHTS is the Event Series around Blaenks.com
Creatives collaborate and showcase their work at the club.
Next BLAENK NIGHTS will happen in Lissabon Nov. 9th - watch out!
a quick recap of our Clubvideo Workshop, October 13-15th 2017.
3 days of listening to tracks, looking through weird and abstract footage. Contemplating about clubdynamics and ambient light settings. Diving into the philosophy of different editing techniques. Out came 5 tracks that the participants performed at the closing night "Blaenk Nights" at Ohm Berlin.

We are extremely excited to present to you the first original track of Can Love Be Synth?, that comprises of photographer and Dj Katja Ruge and her partner in music crime Frank Husemann, who also runs with her the infamous Synthesizerstudio in Hamburg. “Megapulser” is included in the compilation Riviera Disco Vol.8 12″ out now on amazing italo, new wave Dutch label Bordello A Parigi. You can grab it here
Megapulser was produced in its entirety in the Synthesizerstudio Hamburg – fully analog and retro. Katja & Frank’s plan was to create a mega dancing track featuring all their fave beauties. The name Megapulser comes from a crazy electricity device someone brought to the studio while the two were working on the track.
The video was produced by BLÆNK MINDS, Yuly Gates and Alex Hall in Berlin. Design also and Cut by Sam Simon.
They created a 60s Warhol Style Look for the track, it`s a homage to living free, colorfully and
in an open society.
BLÆNK MINDS, are a super talented DJ Duo from Berlin that combine electronic music and visuals at all their performances and are also responsible for this amazing video they did for the remix of True Love floats by Moscoman.
We are very happy to have Kaiserdisco back on Tronic for another EP. This time the duo collaborated with our good friend Karotte. Together they delivered two storming techno tracks. We also have a vinyl only remix from Victor Ruiz.
It's the year 2017 and we're proud to present Nebula - the second full on artist album on Upon. You Records and the longplay debut for our Greek longtime friend Petros Manganaris, better known under his Echonomist moniker to all followers of electronic club music, who first appeared on Upon. You Digital back in 2009 and contributed to our catalogue on a regular ever since.Born, raised and still located in the scenic city of Thessaloniki the Greek producer started his electronic explorations at a young age when he was gifted a basic synthesizer by his family, with the intention of him learning to perform traditional music for family entertainment purposes. But obviously plans didn't work out as intended and young Petros was rather interested in creating weird and twisted sounds and laying down early tape recordings.Progressing from this raw beginnings he evolved into Downtempo later and recorded three studio albums with his band / electronic fusion project 'I' until 2009 all of them well received in the Greek electronic music scene. Throughout this time and heavily influenced by artists and labels Maurizio, Carl Craig, Black Dog, Underground Resistance, Echocord and the likes of, Petros picked up on DJ'ing and created his Echonomist moniker which combined his freshly acquired accounting diploma then meant to be his real life profession and his love for echo-heavy Dub and DubTechno music. This combination surely was a lucky one as his production efforts under the Echonomist name soon were recognized by labels like Dessous Recordings, Time Has Changed, Resopal and Upon. You Records and others, his career both as a producer and a DJ picked up pace and lead to a string of numerous bookings, releases and remixes ever since. In his longplay debut Nebula we see Echonomist not only provide a space-themed title for an album but also pay homage to the artists influential to him with an masterly crafted array of classic Techno tunes as well as excursions into Ambient- and Electronica-informed territories. With the album opener Cosmos we're taken right into space with shimmering cascades of (Neo)Cosmic synth sounds and warm embracing bass tones reminiscent of the works of early Synth masters before the Crescent Moon leads us straight onto the dancefloor with a well pumping foundation, sparse and spatial percussion bits as well as beautiful atmospheres and intertwined melodic layers for Deep Techno floors.Following up is Free Fall, a minimalistic, repetetive vision of Detroit-influenced beauty presenting a captivating and ever evolving crystalline main motif floating all over sawtooth bass attacks, free-falling towards the fascinating colour variations of the Horsehead Nebula and beyond whilst the title track Nebula weighs in more iridescent references to (Neo)Cosmic all spread over a solid Techno / TechHouse crossover.Furthermore Agony represents the darker, slightly more dramatic side of Echonomist's musical work, providing plenty of energy for buzzing venues, Perasma comes across as a deep, slightly Acid-infused, ever morphing Ambient effort and the Sofa Surfer rides a pumping wave of bass heavy Techno whilst setting peaktime floors on fire with a seductive combination of stabs and spaced out, well-tripping synth movements. Meonas, a studio collaboration with Thodoris Triantafillou, once again focuses on the fascination of minimalist arrangements and combines these with dragging piano figures to a stunning effect, creating an ad-hoc future classic whilst caters the needs of all those loving the sound of motor city in a quite anthemic, well-panoramic manner and the concluding Metamorphosis interweaves more (Neo)Cosmic synth fountains, flickering strings, analogue basslines and a good portion of dope beats to finally wave goodbye with a wistful twist and showcase another variation of Echonomist's well-varied body of work that'll be even more appreciated and recognized after this fascinating longplay piece.
Released on My Favorite Robot Records. Written and produced by Sidney S. Thompson // FB: https://www.facebook.com/sidlerock // Booking request: martin@kompakt.fm
METAMORPHOSIS is the transformation of a state. The woman is more than her outer appearance, the role she incarnates. She struggles for being who she is, understanding her inner self and yield it to the outside. A constant process of change. Martin Eyerer returns to Rejected to fly solo and follow up his popular 2015 outing The Metro with two fresh productions, Run Stop and Troja. The lead track Run Stop with its commanding vocal is a hypnotic tech tool with its mesmeric and metronomic beats and shadowy synth chords enticing the listener.

New York impressions
some sweet time on the streets with Blaenk Minds
BLAENK MINDS invited Brooklyn based director and VJ MAX NOVA to work his magic on PETE OAKS "CELSIUS". The Idea was to project visuals and fashion details on the models, capturing this and editing it to sit perfectly on the track and match its mood and dynamic.
